Springfield Model 1903 bolt action magazine rifle originally built at Springfield Armory in 1922 as a "Mark I" to accept the Pedersen Device then rebarreled and restocked for use in World War II. "HS" for High Standard marked barrel dated "11-44" with banded blade front sight with 1903 rear flip sight graduated to 2800 yards. Mark I slotted type action with milled floorplate and "R" swept handle bolt electropenciled to match action. Walnut scant style stock with "P" in circle stamp and blued hardware. Walnut high hump top wood. Comes with green woven period sling. CONDITION: 90% fading arsenal finish with light handling and usage marks. Stock has oil soaked appearance with light scratches and dings. Good bore with TE of 2 and ME of 2 with good mechanics. DLM
