Lot consist of (A) 1875 pattern USMC NCO sword and scabbard. Standard configuration brass hilt with wire bound leather grip, blade etched with martial and floral motifs, with large USMC and stand of arms with flags on reverse. Regulation black leather scabbard with brass drag and throat with frog stud. No maker marks. CONDITION: Excellent. (B) M1852 US Navy Officer’s sword with typical narrower postwar blade. Starkey, London, etched blade address and inset copper disk at ricasso. Standard configuration brass hilt with oak leaf and acorn motifs, wire bound white grip, blade with etched with nautical and floral motifs. Black leather scabbard with wide brass mounts featuring engraved oakleaves and acorns, roped ring bands and sea serpent drag. CONDITION: Very good. Some finish loss to scabbard. Minor gray stains to blade. SR
