1880 vintage Colt Cavalry Single Action Army revolver, serial number 61534. 7 - 1/2" round barrel in .45 Colt with blade front sight, single line Colt Hartford, CT barrel address, and V-frame notch rear. Early donut ejector rod head and blackpowder frame. Left side of frame is marked with 3-line patent date and "U.S". "D.F.C." (David F. Clark) inspection marked on barrel, frame, and cylinder. Matching serial numbers observed on barrel underneath ejector rod housing, frame, trigger guard, butt, and cylinder. 1-piece plain walnut grips are marked 1880 on left side with faint illegible cartouches on both sides and "D.F.C." inspector mark on butt. Complete with Kopec letter. This is a new to the market gun. It has been in a collection for the last 40 years. CONDITION: Good, with nearly all of the original bluing turned to a grey patina with storage marks throughout. Bright original bluing remaining in well-protected areas such as underneath ejector rod housing. Grips fit well with handling marks and rounding near butt. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is frosted with sharp rifling and modest abrasion near muzzle. TON
