Manufactured by Colt in 1984. Features include a brass frame, nickeled barrel and cylinder, and 2-piece ivory bird's head grips. Frame exhibits finely executed scroll engraving on a punch dot background within a dot style border, a line and dot design below the cylinder, as well as crosshatch and dot design on the trigger spur. 8-pointed starburst design is engraved on either side of the breech as well as on the backstrap, which also features a line and dot design. Barrel features ensuite floral scroll engraving on a punch dot background. Top of barrel is stamped "COLT'S HOUSE PISTOL/ *HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.*" with patent information stamped on the top strap of the frame. Matching numbers are present on the butt and barrel with the last three digits present on the front of the cylinder. Cylinder has been re-nickeled, appearing to be an old refinish. CONDITION: Brass frame retains a mellow patina overall, showing a few areas of its original nickel finish in protected areas. Barrel retains the vast majority of its nickel finish, showing some small nicks and minute dark spots. Bore is bright and clean, showing only a couple small spots of light oxidation and retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Cylinder shows some scattered spots of oxidation as well as some light spots of oxidation beneath the finish. Ivory grips exhibit areas of yellowing and some cracking, with a repaired crack running the length of the grip on the left panel. A nicely engraved Colt Cloverleaf revolver. MLW
