1894 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 154975. 7 - 1/2" round barrel in .32-20 WCF with single line barrel address, blade front sight, and V-notch frame rear sight. Blackpowder frame with center pin screw rather than traverse cylinder latch. 2-piece factory brown checkered gutta percha grips featuring a Rampant Colt on either side in an oval. Comes with a factory letter confirming configuration as well as shipment to Montgomery Ward & Company in Chicago, Illinois July 16, 1894. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original bluing turned to a dull grey patina with scattered age-related freckling throughout. Trace amounts of bluing are visible in protected areas such as front sight, cylinder flutes, and underneath ejector rod housing. Center pin retaining screw is marred. Grips are worn from handling but well-fitting with no visible major signs of distress. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is dark with visible rifling. An honest and well-worn antique Colt Single Action Army in a desirable caliber and configuration with factory letter. TON
