Manufactured 1920 as per Colt serial lookup. Blade front sight with U-notch round top rear sight. Left side of slide with 2-line 2-block patent and address information with last patent date September 9th, 1902. Right side with "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". Appropriate subinspector stamps on trigger guard, right side, Colt VP proof, and subinspector on left. Heel magazine release. CONDITION: Excellent, showing only a few minor marks from handling and storage throughout. Legends are crisp and clear, with appropriate distension around some stamps. Case colors on hammer have largely faded but still visible. Action works appropriately when carefully cycled by hand, bore is excellent. This is a top tier example. EMW
