Manufactured 1906. Half-moon front sight, U-notch round top rear sight. Left side of slide with 2-line, 2-block patent and address information, last patent date December 19th, 1905. Rear of slide with encircled Rampant Colt. Right side with "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 45 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". External extractor. Rounded hammer. Frame with "626" serial number on left side, left side of trigger guard with "VP" proof and "W" proof. Checkered truncated diamond checkered walnut grips. Heel magazine release. Full blue magazine. CONDITION: Good, retaining approximately half of the Colt blue, with the majority retained on the frame. Slide is essentially patina with some flashes of blue and dove grey, and has a couple spots of pitting on left side. Some marks around pins and wedge from poor attempts at assembly/disassembly. Frame is very good with some handling marks throughout but appropriate distension around stamps. Grip straps basically patina. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is good with visible rifling and moderate even frosting. This is a good, early 1905. EMW
