One of only 2,200 nickel finished Diamondback .22 LR double action revolvers manufactured by Colt. This example, being manufactured in 1983, is marked left "DIAMONDBACK/ .22 LONG RIFLE" on the left side of the barrel with the right side bearing Colt's 1-line address. Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt logo. Revolver is finished in a bright nickel finish, with the top strap of the hammer, frame, and barrel vent rib retaining a matte nickel finish. Features include a 6" vent rib barrel, 6-shot cylinder, blued adjustable rear sight, ramp front sight, and 2-piece Colt Custom Shop medallion smooth wood grips. CONDITION: Excellent overall, exhibiting some scattered and light superficial marks from handling and storage. Left side of frame bears several nicks beneath the finish just above the cylinder. Cylinder bears a light dragline. Mirror bore, with well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show little signs of use, with some areas of bubbling to the varnish. A very nice example of a scarce 6" nickeled Colt Diamondback .22 LR revolver. MLW
