Manufactured between 1883 - 1885 with total production of 6,403 Colt Burgess rifles. This is one of the scarcest variations of the Colt Burgess. The standard carbine weighs 7 lbs 4 oz. The light carbine only weighs 5 lbs. Full round barrel with a full magazine and two barrel bands. Carbine front sight and a ladder rear sight. Plain walnut front and rear stocks with a carbine butt plate. Two-line address on top of the barrel and a Rampant Colt logo on the left side of the action in front of the saddle ring. CONDITION: This is a brown gun with hints of some blue in the protected areas. There is some slight scattered pitting across the gun. Stocks show just a few small handling marks.
