As per Montenegrin law every male citizen in the early twentieth century was to own a gasser style revolver for militia use, associating this pattern of double action revolver with the small Balkan nation. This nickel plated Belgian made example features a 5-3/8" tip up round barrel marked on top "FOR WINCHESTER 44 CARTRIDGE", high blade front sight, long Belgian proofed fluted 5-shot cylinder, automatic ejector, lanyard loop, and smooth bone grips. Belgian proofed on barrel assembly and cylinder, with additional "BELGIUM" mark on barrel assembly. CONDITION: Fine, retaining vast majority of factory applied nickel finish with some spots of corrosion, loss and scratches. Grips very good with some staining. Shootable bore with some pitting. Good mechanics. BAS
