Manufactured between 1857 and 1864 with only a total production of between 1,000 - 1,500. It is a half stock with a 6-shot fluted cylinder. Round barrel with German silver front sight and aftermarket ladder rear sight. Walnut stocks with lots of figure. It is missing the cleaning rod. Exposed percussion side hammer. "COLT'S PT. ADDRESS COL. COLT / 1856 HARTFOR CT. U.S.A." on the top strap of the action. CONDITION: Generous amounts of original blue on the action and cylinder. The barrel has turned a plum color. Hammer shows hints of the factory case color on it. Front and rear stock show the usual dents and dings with lots of original factory varnish. There is a small crack at the wrist on the right side. Great bore with just a hint of pitting in the lands and grooves. REW
