1904 vintage Colt Bisley single action revolver, serial number 256249. 7 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .44 Russian with single line Colt Hartford, CT address, blade front sight, and frame notch rear. Factory 2 piece gutta percha checkered grips featuring a Rampant Colt on either side in an oval. Factory letter indicates shipment as a 7 - 1/2" blued .44 Russian to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co., Chicago IL, for Warren Hawly in a shipment of 1 dated January 14th, 1904. CONDITION: Very good, with traces of original bluing in protected areas with the majority of blued components turned a gray-brown patina with scattered handling marks and light pitting throughout. 2 piece grips are strong with no visible signs of major distress. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand. Bore is frosted with crisp rifling. TON
