After the treaty of Versailles, the Germans were trying to get their country back on its feet financially. They were exporting guns all over the world and were taking military guns and re-working them for the commercial market. This gun, along with many thousands more, came to the United States. It sports an American Eagle above the chamber and "DWM" in script on the front toggle link. Straw small parts with 2-piece wood checkered grips. A pencil barrel and un-numbered nickel magazine. It is an all-matching numbers gun. CONDITION: Gun retains virtually all of the arsenal applied blue finish. The straw is very strong. Checkering on the grips is sharp and crisp. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. REW
