DWM 1902 American Eagle Luger semi automatic pistol. Often referred to as the "fat barrel", these were made as commercial guns in a run of about 700 circa early 1903. Export mark "GERMANY" on the front of the frame below the serial number. "DWM" marked in script on the toggle. Typical eagle engraved on the chamber. All numbered parts look to be matching, being numbered "93". Serrated blade front sight and V-notch rear. Original blued and straw finishes. Checkered wood grips are correctly not numbered, but both bear the correct DWM cartouche. What's really great about this gun, is the original polished body magazine marked "Cal. 9M/M" in script on the wood bottom. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with some light wear and blemishes on the left side of the frame. Straw rates at over 90%. Grips have light wear. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. Great example of an always desirable Luger! JWA
