Very fine Smith & Wesson Model 17 double action revolver. Made 1960. Factory monogram and company address on the left side of the frame. Right side of the barrel is marked "22 LONG RIFLE CTG". Matching serials on the frame and butt. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Round, pinned, steel barrel with blade front sight and adjustable u-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled spurred hammer. Factory checkered magna grips with monogram medallions. Includes slightly earlier made blue flat board box. Snap caps are located in each cylinder. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish, with some light edge wear. Grips are sharp and crisp. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lock up. Drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. Box is good overall, with some edge/corner wear. JWA
