Totaling only an estimated 2,488 produced between 1920-1941, the Colt Camp Perry pistol is one of the least encountered of all Colt's cartridge firearms. This example was manufactured 1927, with the left side of the barrel being marked "CAL .22 LONG RIFLE" and with Colt's 2 line address across the top. Left side of breech is marked "CAMP PERRY MODEL", with the left side of the frame bearing the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Bottom of frame is electropencilled "HMR". Features include a 10" barrel, partridge front sight, adjustable rear sight, checkered hammer, trigger, & backstrap, and Colt silver medallion 2-piece walnut grips. Frame, cylinder crane, and grips are matching. CONDITION: Metal components retain most of their original factory blue finish, showing areas of wear and thinning all around. Front grip strap shows thinning, with worn areas showing through to gray patina. Mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show a few handling marks and some smoothing to the checkering. A nice example of a Colt Camp Perry Model single shot pistol. MLW
