Swiss Model 1906 Luger manufactured by Waffenfabrik Bern once Germany could no longer supply Lugers due to the outbreak World War I. Left side of receiver bears a Col. Muhlemann control proof followed by a Swiss shooting-in proof, with additional shooting-in proofs present on the left side of the barrel, breechblock, and rear of the frame. Toggle is marked "WAFFENFABRIK BERN". Rear strap is crudely engraved "7.65" with the front strap being marked "M.M. DEV. TX" beneath the grip panels. Matching numbers include the frame, sideplate, trigger, grip safety, barrel, receiver, breechblock, and toggles. Grips have lightly penciled serial numbers on their interiors and do not match. Complete with a brown leather Genossenschaft holster. CONDITION: Excellent overall, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their arsenal reapplied blue finish and exhibiting only a few minor areas of wear. Strawed components are excellent as arsenal refinished, and show few areas of wear. Mirror bore, retaining well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips show a few nicks and minor impressions to the checkering, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. Holster is excellent, showing some very light age cracking overall, and bearing a partially illegible makers mark on the rear panel. A very nice and attractive Swiss Model 1906 Luger. MLW
