Winchester Model 1892 lever action magazine rifle serial number "6284" made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1892. Blued full octagon barrel with sheared blade front sight and rear buckhorn adjustable sight with Winchester Address and caliber "44 W.C.F.". Blued action with plain trigger and blued full magazine. Walnut plain stock with blued crescent steel buttplate with walnut plain forearm. Cody letter indicates received in warehouse on January 4th, 1893, and in .44 caliber, octagon barrel, plain trigger. CONDITION: 80% fading blue with balance fading to a silvery patina. Action and magazine tube retain 70% blue with some surface discoloration and wear on carry areas. 80% original varnish with some light surface scuffs and dings. Dark but shootable bore with good mechanics. DLM
