Model 1908 Commercial Luger manufactured by DWM for commercial sales within and outside of Germany. Major metal components are rust blued, with smaller components being strawed and nitre blued. Toggle bears the DWM monogram. Crown over "N" nitro proofs are present on the left side of the receiver, breechblock, and toggle, as well as on the bottom of the barrel. Left side of frame is hand stamped "E.S.M.". All numbers are matching, being stamped in the commercial fashion, with the exception of the firing pin, grips, and magazine. Firing pin is marked "0", with the grips and magazine being unnumbered. Magazine bottom appears to be a contemporary replacement. CONDITION: Excellent overall, showing a few concentrated areas of wear and thinning as well as a areas of high edge wear. Mirror bore, retaining good rifling throughout. Checkered walnut grips show some smoothing, as well as a few scattered impressions and nicks to the diamonds. A fine Pre-World War I DWM Model 1908 Luger. MLW
