Very fine Colt Official Police double action revolver with box. Made 1950. Left side of the barrel is marked "OFFICIAL POLICE/.38 SPECIAL CTG." Right side of the barrel is marked with the company address. "VP" proof on the top left of the trigger guard. Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Matching serials on the frame and crane. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Serrated blued trigger, while the hammer is correctly polished. Factory brown checkered plastic grips. Includes original brown flat board box with cleaning brush inside. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish, with a few light handling marks. Grips are excellent as well. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Grips are excellent. Box is good overall with light edge wear and rips on the end tabs. Overall a very fine Colt for your collection. JWA
