Scarce Un-Quality M1 Carbine semi automatic rifle. Receiver made fall of 1943 by Union Switch and Signal, on contract for Quality Hardware. No import mark found. "W" marked Winchester barrel with no dates. Inland marked band/bayonet lug. Front sight is marked "N", while the adjustable rear sight is Inland marked. Quality hardware marked bolt, hammer, slide, and trigger group. Stock is marked "Q-RMC" on the inside of the sling channel, and on the inside of the hand guard."151" rack number on the bottom of the pistol grip. Original parkerized finish on most of the metal components. Wood has a light oil finish. Includes a "UQ" marked 15 round magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with some wear and handling marks. There are three holes drilled on the left side of the receiver, under the stock line. Wood has some light finish wear, with a few handling marks and scratches. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Muzzle erosion gauges at a 1. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light finish wear. JWA
