Colt First Series Trooper double action revolver with box. Made 1954. Left side of the barrel is marked "COLT TROOPER/.38 SPECIAL CTG.". Company address on the right side of the barrel. "VP" proof on the top left of the trigger guard. Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Matching serials on the frame and yolk. Round, steel barrel with ramped blade front sight and u-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Blued, serrated trigger with correct polished spurred hammer. Factory brown checkered plastic grips. Includes factory wood grain box with green interior. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Grips have a few scratches and handling marks. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Some drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. Box is excellent, with light edge wear and scratches. JWA
