Circa 2003. Very nice Italian boxlock game set up with 24" and 29" chopper lump blued steel barrels. The 24" (A).470 nitro proof barrels are fitted with ejectors, spear point machined filed quarter rib, one standing sight at 50 yards, and three folding sights at 75,100 and 150 yards. All sights with gold line indicator. Swamp game rib leads to a spear point raised and machine filed front blade sight with silver tip. Bottom of barrel rib fitted with sling eye. Barrel flats stamped "CAL, 470 NE", "P&V", "2653" for serial number. Flats also with appropriate date stamp and proof markings. Top of Barrels read "PERUGINI E VISINI" and "NUVOLERA BRESCIA". Bottom of left barrel under forend is lightly stamped with US importers name and location. (B) 29" 20 bore chopper lump barrels are built with 2 - 3/4" chambers and ejectors. Chokes are Extra Full and Full. The machined filed flat top tapered rib is fitted with a steel round front bead sight. Top of Barrels read "PERUGINI E VISINI" and "NUVOLERA BRESCIA". Bottom of left barrel under forend is lightly stamped with US importer's name and location. Bottoms of barrels are stamped "CAM.70", "16.0","KG1. 320". Barrel flats are stamped "20-70" in oval, "P&V" in oval and with appropriate Italian markings. Bottom rib fixed with eye for sling. The elegant finely scrolled scalloped boxlock action with hints of case coloring is fit with bolsters and has carved floral / stippled fences, blued engraved and engraved top lever, blued double checkered triggers, and a pinned checkered and engraved safe slide. Bottom action is also discreetly engraved with a male lion's head surrounded with matched tight scroll engraving. Blued right hand rolled edged trigger guard with light scrolls extends through a full bottom strap also with tight scrolls and the firearms serial number "2653". The handsome grained strong reddish-brown European walnut stock with scroll engraved long top strap, drop points has been built with a two panel fine sharp checkered pistol grip with blue steel butt cap and with compartment for extra sight of firing pins. Stock is also nicely appointed with a shadow line cheekpiece, swivel stud, and soft black KICK-EEZ pad. The rifle barrels are fit with their own matching forend with a blued, engraved latch release while the 20 bore has been fit with an Anson-styled push-button release. Both splinter forends have matched checkering, iron metal is blued and engraved with matching scrolls and are fit with golden inlays of Perugini & Visini's logo. Firearm is cased in a brown leather makers case with two extra springs, 2-piece cleaning rod, sling swivels, and a pair of rifle snap caps. CONDITION: Excellent. Both sets of barrels are near mint with slight handling marks. Action is tight and is mechanically sound. Stock and forearms are also excellent with few and light handling marks. Case is great with light handling marks. Exterior of case is signed by various craftsman from production of the piece. Very nice!! CP
