Commercial Colt New Army double action revolver. Made 1901. Left side of the barrel is marked "COLT.D.A.41". Company address and patent dates on the top of the barrel in three lines. Circled, rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Matching assembly numbers on the frame, crane and cylinder latch. Round, steel barrel with half moon front sight and u-notch cut out rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Fire blue still visible on the trigger and hammer. Factory black hard rubber grips with checkering. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with some light wear and handling marks. Grips are very good with light handling marks. There is some very light frosting near the muzzle, but bore is otherwise clean. Very good rifling retained. Hammer is tight. Cylinder has some side-side movement when cocked. Sharp timing and lockup. Some drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
