Open Top Pocket Model revolver manufactured by Colt in 1874. Top of barrel bears Colt's 2 line address, with the left side of the frame being marked "22 CAL". Frame exhibits foliate scroll engraving with a punch dot background on either side, with the backstrap retaining an intertwined line and dot design and a star burst to the rear of the hammer. Cylinder exhibits zigzag pattern engraving all the way around. Barrel is engraved with a line and dot motif terminating in a splay towards the muzzle as well as a zigzag pattern towards the barrel lug on either side. Features include a nickel finish, 2 - 1/4" barrel, half moon front sight, hammer notched rear sight, and 2-piece ivory birds-head grips. Matching numbers are present on the bottom of the grip and barrel lug. CONDITION: Frame retains fair to good amounts of it's nickel finish, showing wear all around that shows through to brass. Barrel and cylinder retain most of their nickel finish, showing a few areas of wear and a few small losses. Bore is bright, exhibiting some areas of oxidation and retaining good rifling throughout. Grips are very good, showing yellow patina on either panel. MLW
