Built circa 1966. A handsome game gun built by one of the best names in Italian sporting gun history - Fabbri. This sidelock ejector gun is built with 2 sets of 30" barrels with 2 - 3/4" chambers, ejectors, numbered "1" and "2" in gold on ribs near breech. Both barrels have machine filed, ventilated, raised, tapered ribs with small brass mid beads and slightly larger steel front bead sights. Barrels read "ARMI FABBRI - BRESCIA" on top left side and on top right read "ACCIAIO PHONIX". Barrel wings with light scroll engraving. Barrel flats are marked "E 316" for serial number, with appropriate Italian proofs, date code "XXII" and also read "TIPO PICCONE EXTRA". Each barrel flat is also numbered "1" and "2". Side ribs and bottom barrels are also marked for choke constriction. Barrel (A) is choked over - Improved Modified and under - Modified. Barrel (B) is choked over - Extra Full and under - Full. The case colored sidelock with cocking indicators is furnished with a single inertia driven trigger, checkered and engraved slide safe, blacked checkered engraved top lever. "SICURA" is engraved for "SAFE" in between top lever and safe slide. Gun is non-auto safe. Action, hardware, and trigger guard are all uniquely engraved with tight floral scroll. Three quarter bottom strap is engraved and with the guns serial number "E 316". The strong and smoky grained European high gloss oil finished walnut stock is built with a sharp and fine checkered pistol grip. Buttstock is finished with a black Decelerator pad. The matched checkered game forend is fit with an Anson-styled push-button release, case colored engraved pins and a gold inlaid pigeon as base. Gun and barrels are housed in a vintage Browning travel case. Case and gun are accompanied by an extra set of fire pins. CONDITION: Excellent. Both sets of barrels retain 97%+ original blue. Action and trigger are sound. All ejectors are in time. Stock and forend with minor handling marks. Great gun! CP
