Fine Colt New Service double action revolver with case. Made 1925. Left side of the barrel is marked "NEW SERVICE 45 COLT", with the company address on the top of the barrel. "VP" proof on the top left of the trigger guard. Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Matching serials on the frame and yolk. Round, steel barrel with blade front sight and u-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components, with the hammer polished and fire blued on the top. Sling swivel attached on the bottom of the butt. Factory hard rubber grips with checkering. Includes a custom made wood display case, marked "COLT" in a brass plaque on the top of the case. Case is green velvet lined, and includes cleaning tools and six rounds of Winchester marked .45 Colt ammunition. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish with some light finish wear. Grips are excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp lockup/timing. Very light drag line on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. Case and accessories are all very good overall. JWA
