Marlin Model 1894 lever action saddle ring carbine made by Marlin Firearms Company in 1894. Blued round rifled barrel with pinned blade front sight with notch flip rear sight marked with Marlin Address and patents and caliber "44W". Case hardened receiver with blued saddle ring and loading gate with solid frame and plain trigger. Walnut plain carbine style stock with steel carbine buttplate and walnut plain forearm with steel barrel band. CONDITION: 50% original barrel blue fading to a silvery patina. Action has turned to a gray patina with a nice shadow around ring. Wood has traces of original finish with crack from tang to the comb. Forearm has traces of original finish with some light marks and dings. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
