German "Buchel Tell" .22LR single shot target pistol (Scheibenpistole). Underside of barrel is likely to have the caliber, "BUG" markings, etc. Left front side of receiver is marked "BUCHEL ORIGINAL TELL", and right side is marked with the "U" and "B" proof. Serial number of "1665" is inside the trigger assembly. No import marks. 2 barrel assemblies are included. The mounted barrel is in .22 LR, and the spare barrel is in a Flobert caliber: either 5.6mm or 6mm. 2 elaborate rear target sight assemblies are detached (in a small box in the case), are fully adjustable for elevation and windage, and mount on the 11mm rail. Both barrels have removable front target sight blades, and three are in the small box in the case. Action is opened by pulling the lever mounted on the rear of the grip. Single trigger is set by pushing down on the level on the left side of the receiver. 2-piece walnut pistol grip panels are checkered and have left side thumb rest, and forearm is walnut as well. CONDITION: Overall finish on the the pistol is excellent plus. Barrel assemblies retain 95+% of their original blued finish. Receiver is case hardened and retains 90-95% of that finish. Trigger guard and trigger assembly retain 75-80% of their case hardened Walnut grip panels and forearms are excellent plus. Bore is bright. Set trigger does not presently function and appears to require disassembly and cleaning. (B) Pistol, both barrels, small box with 2 rear sight assemblies and three front sight inserts, small box with sight adjustment key and empty casings, are present in a 1930s vintage hard case. Leather carrying handle has broken through on one side. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WEZ
