Winchester Model 1886 "Special Order" lever action rifle made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1907. Blued "Nickel Steel" 1/2 round 1/2 octagon special order barrel with Lyman sheared blade front sight and adjustable rear sight. Madis state that 1 in 120 rifles had a part round barrel. Blued takedown receiver with 2/3 blued magazine. Madis states 1 in 150 had a shorter than standard magazine. Walnut plain stock with shotgun style checkered buttplate. Madis states 1 in 420 had non-standard butt. Gun has plain walnut forearm with blue nosecap. Comes with factory letter confirming all options and customer stating it has to weigh as close as possible to 8 lbs (It weighs 8lbs 9.4 oz). CONDITION: 80% fading barrel blue with some discoloration marks. 60% action blue with wear on operating and carry areas. Wood has added coat of oil with usage marks and dings. Good bore with good mechanics. DLM
