Circa 1970. A beautiful sidelock with 30" monoblock Boehler steel blued barrels. Barrels are nicely fitted with ejectors, a flat top low profiled ventilated filed rib with steel round mid bead and white high visibility front sight. Top barrel reads "BOEHLER * ANTINET STEEL", "12 GA 2 3/4 IN - 30 INCHES F OVER IM" on right. Left reads "P. BERETTA - GARDONE V.T. MADE IN ITALY", with importers address to follow. Under forearm is stamped "CAM.70 18.3 F" on top barrel and "KG1 ,440 18.3 IM" on bottom barrel. Bottom barrel also stamped with "S 04", guns serial number "37201" also with Italian date code and proofs. Barrels are now fit with Briley multi chokes. The grey patina sidelock action with cross bolt locking mechanism, gas ports, blued and checkered single inertia trigger, barrel selector, blued engraved top lever, and slide safe is non-auto safe. Lovely floral scroll on locks, fences, and action bottom are all nicely engraved by "Sauzoqui" which is engraved on right sight of trigger plate. Right lock plate with side windows. Action bottom reads "P. BERETTA - GARDONE V.T." and "BREVETTATO ITALY". Trigger is protected by a blued floral engraved guard with oval for initials on bow, 3/4 length floral engraved bottom strap with serial number "37201" in oval. Handsome dark European walnut stock with burls and pretty figure has been built with a fine checkered semi pistol grip and steel grip cap with scroll engraving and the initials "JJ". Buttstock finished with a thin brown rubber pad. Length of pull to center over pad is 14 - 1/2". The matched checkered forearm is built with a blued Deeley-styled latch release. Iron metal is blued and with matching engraving. Gun lives in a Negrini black plastic hard travel case with extra choke tubes and choke tube wrench. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain 95% blue with light handling marks and forearm rub. Action is tight, ejectors are in time and trigger is crisp. Stock and forearm are both very good with some handling marks from use. Case is good. Very nice over-under gun! CP
