Circa 1941. A late model game gun with 26" blued steel barrels. Barrels are fit with ejectors and 2 - 7/8" chambers. Wide concave rib tapers and is matte filed with a small mid bead and a larger white front bead sight. Rib also with dolls head extension. Barrel flats with serial number "242079". Stamped "MADE IN U.S.A.", # 39", *, X K 3 and reads "OVERLOAD PARKER GUN WORK PROVED". Lumps stamped "B" and "1". Chokes are Modified and Improved Cylinder. The case colored boxlock action with single mechanical selective trigger is auto-safe and has a checkered safe slide. The water table is marked "MADE IN U.S.A.", "ILION, N.Y.","CH","242079". Medium honey-brown walnut stock with checkered side panels, drop points, and with feather crotched pattern. Pistol grip with checkering over strap and black grip cap. Grip cap reads " PARKER ILION, N.Y.". Action is engraved with scrolls and game scenes. Right side of action is engraved with a pointer in field. Left side is engraved with a setter in field and bottom of action is engraved with a grouse flying through woods. Stock with silver oval that reads "MIKE McCOLLUM" surrounded by light scroll borders. Butt stock with brown Pachmayr pad. Dark-colored beavertail forend with checkered grip and an engraved case colored Deeley styled latch release. Gun lives in a tow under leather case. CONDITION: Fair. Barrels with approximately 85% of re-blue with forearm rubs, handling marks, and some frosting at muzzle. Barrels are slightly off face. Action is mechanically sound and with newer case colors. Trigger and ejectors are mechanically good. Re-stock with fracture on top side of wrist just behind the tang. Stock also with light handling marks. Forend with light handling marks. Case is good with some scuffs. CP
