Circa 1978. A nice virtually new hunting rifle with a 24" blued streel round barrel. "Barrel reads Cal. 300 Weath Mag." on left. Rifle is fitted with a Leupold 3x9 Vari-Xii scope, 2 position tang safe and blued bolt handle. Top of barrel reads COLTS PT. F.A. MFG.CO.HARTFORD,CT. U.S.A" The magazine reads "Colt Sauer Cal 300 Weath Mag" under the shiny bolt ported slide. Rifle built with a blacked drop out magazine box. Right side of action reads "Made in W. Germany by J.P. Sauer & Sohn". Action with strong straight grain stock with sharp checkered pistol grip, white line rosewood grip cap with Colt logo insert, monte carlo comb with cheek piece, eye for sling loop is finished with a whiteline and ventilated black rubber pad. Forend with matched checkering, eye for sling loop and rosewood forend tip. Rifle comes in a black full length plastic travel case. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel retains 96% shiny original blue with some light handling marks. Action is smooth. Magazine box with handling mark. Stock and Forend with very light handling marks. CP
