Dreyse M1883 Reichsrevolver, serial number 7619. 4 - 3/4" barrel chambered in 10.6X25mmR with frame notch rear sight and blade front. Matching serial numbers observed on barrel, frame, frame screws, safety assembly, loading gate, center pin retaining pin, center pin, cylinder, main spring, main spring retaining screw, both grip panels, the grip screw, and both grip screw bushings. 2 piece plain hardwood grips. Unit marked on backstrap "74.R.R.3.3." indicating issue to either a reserve heavy cavalry or reserve infantry regiment. CONDITON: Very good, with a good amount of original bluing remaining on frame, especially on right side. Left side of frame was heavily cleaned and is now mostly a dove-gray patina with scattered light pitting and handling marks throughout. Grips have been heavily cleaned and show numerous dents and dings from handling but are strong overall with no discernable cracks. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand and is tight. Bore is frosted with light pitting throughout and strong rifling. TON
