Lot consists of 2 sets of USMC dress blues, 2 M1912 summer service tunics, and 4 pairs of gloves all named to M.C. Kuschke. Sgt. Kuschke, joined the Marine Corps in Houston, TX on the 6th of November 1918, on a war enlistment. Kuschke would go on to reenlisted in1921, specifically after “Black Tuesday” on October 29th 1929 at the start of the Great Depression. During his time serving in the US Marine Crops, Kuschke would serve in the marine detachment on the USS Huron, USS Idaho, and USS Pyro. (A) Pattern 1912 enlisted man's dress blue tunic and trousers which are both named to Kuschke. The tunic is stamped by the USMC quartermaster inside the left sleeve and is dated 1909-1910 and marked as a size 1-L. There are machine sewn sergeant chevrons on each arm and hand sewn gun pointer insignia on the bottom of the right sleeve. Complete with a nice set of screw back EGAs. The trousers are not marked. Both tunic and trousers exhibit very little blemishes. CONDITION: Very good. (B) Pattern 1912 enlisted man's dress blue tunic and trousers which are both named to Kuschke. The tunic is stamped by the USMC quartermaster inside the left sleeve and is marked as a size "C-M". The rest of the stamp is illegible, as the lining has been cut out of both sleeves. The tunic has a pierced collar, however the EGAs are missing. There is matching hand sewn gun pointer insignia on the bottom of the right sleeve, just like the first tunic. The trousers are stamped inside the waist and dated "1904-1905" and are marked as a size "1-L". The is in good condition and exhibits ghosting where rank insignia was once present on the arms and there are slight blemishes. The trousers exhibit mothing. CONDITION: Good. (C) High condition M1912 summer service tunic. The tunic retains its original quartermaster label inside the collar and is dated 1918-1919. Kuschke's name is stamped inside the right sleeve. The colors have not faded and the tunic appears unworn. CONDITION: Excellent. (D) High condition M1912 summer service tunic. The tunic retains its original quartermaster label inside the collar and is dated 1918-1919. Kuschke's name is stamped inside the right sleeve, just like the first tunic. The condition mirrors the first tunic, but the only flaw is that this tunic is missing its USMC buttons. CONDITION: Very good. (E) 4 pairs USMC white dress gloves that came with the uniforms. All pairs show discoloration from age. CONDITION: Good. JLD
