1878 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 43212. 7 - 1/2" round barrel with single line Colt Hartford, CT address chambered in .45 Long Colt with correct SAA blade front sight and frame notch rear. Early Donut ejector rod head. Matching serial numbers observed on butt, trigger guard, frame, cylinder, and barrel underneath ejector rod housing. 1 piece plain walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good, with traces of original bluing remaining, especially in protected areas with the balance turned a gray patina overall with light pitting and handling marks throughout. Center pin is marred and retaining screw is stripped and center pin was not able to be removed for inspection. 1 piece grips are very good with areas of finish loss but no major cracks and are well fitting with the exception of a chip near backstrap screw. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand and is tight. Bore is frosted with visible rifling. An honest example of an early production Colt Single Action Army. TON
