1855 vintage Colt "Wells Fargo" .31 caliber Model 1849 percussion pocket revolver manufactured without standard loading lever. It features a 3" octagon barrel with 2 line New York address, 5-shot percussion cylinder with stage coach scene, silver plated brass grip straps, silver plated small round trigger guard, and smooth walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good. Blued and case colored assemblies exhibit a mottled gray/brown patina with traces of thinned finish and some cleaned sports of older corrosion. Portions of blued finish retained on wedge. Significant portions of patinaed silver plating retained with some edge wear and loss around trigger guard and front grip strap. Markings somewhat softened with stage coach scene still largely visible on cylinder. Grips have minor impressions throughout. Good shootable bore with strong rifling. Indexes correctly. Complete or partial serial numbers observed on frame, barrel assembly, cylinder, cylinder arbor (partially obscured), trigger guard, back strap, and wedge. Several screws replaced. BAS
