Winchester Model 1892 lever action carbine. Made 1913. Standard company address and patent dates marked in 2 lines on the right side of the barrel. "25-20 W.C.F." marked on the left side of the chamber. Winchester proofs on the barrel and chamber as well. Typical marks on the upper tang. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and rear ladder. Original finish on the metal components. Saddle ring and stud are present. Light oil finished stock and fore arm. Metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 65% of its original finish with honest wear and some patina on the frame. Correct wear pattern around the saddle ring. Wood has minor handling marks and scratches. There are two large gouges on the right side of the butt stock. Solid forearm with no visible cracks. Lightly frosted bore with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
