New Line single action revolver manufactured by Colt in 1876. Left side of barrel bears a "COLT NEW 22" etched panel with the top bearing Colt's 2 line address. Frame bears scroll engraving with some punch dot backgrounds and top strap is engraved with a line and dot design. Barrel exhibits light scroll work on either side, with the top retaining an engraved line design. Cylinder is engraved with light floral motifs. Matching numbers found on frame, barrel, and cylinder. Features include a nickel finish, 2 - 1/4" barrel, blade front sight, notched rear sight, and 2-piece rosewood grips. Complete with a blue felt lined vintage wood case which contains an original Peters Cartridge Co. box of .22 ammunition. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their nickel finish, exhibiting some areas of wear showing through to brass as well as some small areas of age related discoloration. Bore exhibits pitting and fair rifling throughout. Action operates appropriately when cycled by hand. Grips show some handling and storage marks, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. Case is very good, showing scattered handling marks. Ammunition box is very good overall, being wrapped in plastic for protection. MLW
