This exceptional gun has been engraved in D class coverage by John Pease, a noted Master Engraver for Colt, in a well executed acanthus scroll pattern on a punch dot background. Rounds have small of engraving where a punch dot background was not utilized. Checkered ivory grips in classic truncated diamond pattern with inset Colt silver medallions. Rollmark removed to dust cover in order to allow maximum engravable area of flats. John signed this masterful piece under the left grip, just underneath grip bushing. Standard features include 3 dot combat sights, checkered magazine release, smooth trigger, serrated safety, hammer, and slide release, and long grip safety. Housed in the correct Colt blue box with slipcase with endlabel indicating the correct features and serial number. Also included is a factory letter that identifies the gun as factory engraved by John Pease in D grade scroll and shipped with Eastwood Arms in 2019 as a shipment of 1. CONDITION: As new in box, likely test fired only. Engraving is crisp and masterfully executed. Ivory grips with excellent grain and color, and free from losses. Some extremely minor storage marks. Bore is excellent with crisp rifling. D grade work is both expensive and time consuming; here is your chance to skip the line. DLM
