Classic configuration of Colt's Gold Cup National Match in .38 Super with nickel finish and fire blued small parts. Engraved in D Class coverage with running scroll on stippled and crosshatched background. Ivory truncated diamond stocks with inset silver Colt medallions. Housed in the appropriate Colt blue box with sleeve identifying this gun by serial number as a National Match Gold Cup in .38 Super, nickel and fire blue finish, D Master engraved, and ivory stocks. Signed "JOHN K. PEASE ENGR" under left grip for John Pease, a noted master engraver for Colt. CONDITION: As new in box, retaining virtually all of the fire blue on the small parts and only very minor storage marks to the nickel. Engraving is crisp. Ivory has good grain and is free of cracks and chips. Bore is excellent with strong rifling. Possibly gun was test fired only. D grade engraving done by a Colt master engraver is expensive and time consuming. Here is your chance to skip the line. Box is fine. DLM
