Circa 1919. Dovetail 28" blacked steel Nitro Proof barrels with 2 - 3/4" chambers. Barrels are fit with extractors, game concave smooth tapered rib with extension. Rib reads "J. BLANCH & SON . 29 . GRACECHURCH STREET . LONDON." Chokes are Modified and Improved Cylinder. The faintly case colored back action sidelock is built with double triggers, engraved and checkered top lever, cocking indicators, checkered thumb slide safe, "SAFE" in gold, gas checks (ports)on breech face and gun is Auto-Safe. The English straight hand walnut stock has 2 panel flat top checkering, silver oval bearing the letters "CO" and a matched checkered butt. The matched checkered forend has been built with the patent latch snap bolt forend release. Release reads " J. BLANCH & SON'S IMPROVED SNAP BOLT", which is also scroll engraved. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels have been reblacked and reproofed. Bores are shiny. Action is tight and triggers crisp. Stock is good with handling marks. Could be benefitting from re-stock. Forend is good with some handling marks. CP
