Circa 1893. Brown 30" Damascus steel dovetail barrels with 2 - 1/2" chambers. Barrels have been fit with a flat top matte rib with extension and round front bead sight. Rib reads "SCOTTS IMPROVED BOLT" near breech. Barrels read "W & C SCOTT & SON THE MONTE CARLO B 10 Gt CASTLE STREET" , "REGENT CIRCUS LONDON ENGLAND.". Chokes are Modified and Cylinder. Case colored sidelock action with gas escapes, cocking indicators, Greener style cross bolt locking mechanism, auto-safe, blued engraved and checkered top lever, serrated thumb slide safe and double triggers. Both locks are engraved with scrolls and games scenes of pigeons in flight in vignettes. Bottom of lock plates are engraved with "W & C. SCOTT & SON." Triggers are protected by a blacked lightly engraved trigger guard which is built with a long lightly engraved bottom strap. Bottom strap engraved with guns serial number "50484". The European stock with fiddleback is built with drop points, round knob pistol grip hand with flat top checkering, vacant silver oval on toe line and a thin serrated horn butt plate. Small splinter forend with matched checkering and scroll engraved unique left latch release. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels with loss of brown in areas, but structurally and mechanically sound. Action and triggers are sound. Stock good with handling marks. Forend good with professional repair on bottom near tip. CP
