Handsome game gun with 26 - 3/4" blued steel barrels with 2 - 1/2" chambers, ejectors, smooth concave tapered rib, 3rd fastener and a small round front bead sight. Bottoms of barrels near mid rib read "SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTHS FLUID PRESSED STEEL". Chokes are Full and Improved Modified. Grey patina side lock action with cocking indicators, double triggers (front being articulated), side clips, disk set strikers, engraved and checkered top lever and checkered thumb safe. "S" in gold. Top lever with gold inlay number "2". European rich honey colored walnut stock with smoky marbling and finely checkered English straight hand grip with slot for sling loop is finished with a checkered butt. The splinter forend has a uniquely carved tip, fine checkering, vacant oval shield and an Anson styled forend release. CONDITION: Good. Barrels with lots of color. Barrels with visible handling marks and rib repair. Action, ejectors and triggers are mechanically sound. Stock and forend with handling marks. CP
