M96 rifle manufactured by Carl Gustaf in 1908. Receiver bears the manufacturer information above "1908" over the chamber, with the inspector's proof and serial number on the left side. Bottom of barrel is SARCO stamped towards the muzzle. Swedish crown proofs are present on most small components. Major metal components are blued, with smaller components being nitre blued and in-the-white. Stock retains brass bore disc. Matching numbers are found on the receiver, bolt assembly, floorplate, barrel bands, bolt stop housing, and buttstock. Front sight is numbered "15". CONDITION: Very good overall, exhibiting some areas of wear and some small handling marks that show through to gray patina. Bore is bright, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered marks from handling and storage. MLW
