Swedish Carl Gustafs CG-63 bolt action match rifle. Receiver was originally made in 1906 at the Carl Gustafs factory, as a Standard M96 infantry rifle. It was then converted to CG-63 match rifle in 1969, noted by the "(crown)/C/69" proof on the left side of the receiver. Nice Swedish crest still visible on the chamber. Proofs on the left side of the barrel. Sarco import mark on the bottom of the barrel. Matching serials on the receiver, bolt handle and cocking piece. Floor plate, bolt release, and safety do not match. Globe front sight with a post aperture. Micro adjustable match rear sight as well. Blued finish on the metal components, with the bolt still in the white. Standard oil finished wood tock with plastic butt plate and metal sling swivels. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with light wear and handling marks. Stock has some dings, scratches and dents typically of a match rifle. Bore is clean with very good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. Rear sight is missing its cap for the elevation adjustment knob, but seems to function fine. Makes for a great Benchrest rifle. JWA
