Single barrel has three individual bead front sights with notch rear sights mounted onto a single large (1 - 1/4") barrel that has three individually bored "barrels", each with its own nipple. A detailed inspection of this rifle has been unable to turn up any kind of maker's marks or proofs; possibly a blacksmith build or the fevered dream of a madman. Short perch belly stock. Furniture is all iron. Nipples a contemporary blue replacement. Hand-operated mule ear with barrel indexing by hand. Accompanied by a letter confirming that the gun was sold at Brian Lebel's auction of the Roy Rogers-Dale Evans museum during the 2010 liquidation of the museum. CONDITION: Metal has acquired a smooth chocolate patina throughout. Wood is dry with numerous areas of rubbing and roughness to high edges. There are a few cracks in the wood. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bores are very good with some abrasion throughout. A fascinating and likely unique piece. EW
