1925 Vintage Winchester Model 55 Takedown lever action rifle, serial number 1557. 24" round barrel chambered in .30 Winchester Center Fire (.30-30 Winchester) with takedown half magazine tube, buckhorn rear sight, and ramped Lyman front. 2 piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with rifle forearm cap and serrated shotgun steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very good with almost all of the original bluing remaining on barrel and magazine tube with modest wear. Receiver is good with traces of finish remaining in protected areas with the balance flaking off. Stock and forearm are excellent with no major signs of distress. Action works correctly and locks tightly. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. -TN-
