Round barrel with indistinct proofs offset of breech and a "12". Bayonet lug near muzzle. Flintlock with reinforced cock and devoid of any proofs. Ramrod with flat head retained by two ferrules with flared mouths and feeding into a reinforced mouth. Simple brass trigger guard with "5864" on tang. Sling loops affixed to trigger guard and above fore ferrule. Brass buttplate. CONDITION: Metal has been cleaned with spotted darkness throughout, heavier towards muzzle. Stock is very good as carefully sanded and refinishewd with numerous bumps and bruises throughout, and some repairs with woodfill near toe. Crack at rear of lock. Mechanically good, bore is good with a minimum of oxidation. EMW
