The Robin Hood Ammunition Company was formed in 1906 and later purchased by Remington Arms Company in 1915. This rare and desirable 12-gauge, empty 2-piece box is marked "Eclipse / Shells" with a graphic of Robin Hood drawing a bow and arrow. Front label is also marked "Eclipse Near Smokeless Powder / Manufactured By / Robin Hood Ammunition Co. / Swanton, VT." Colorful graphic on end label with shotshell motif marked "Eclipse Shells / Always The Same / Always Reliable" with "Surest And Best" in script. Opposite end label features a colorful graphic of Robin Hood and bow. CONDITION: Excellent overall with bright clean colors. Shows minimum soiling. Box is sound with strong edges and corners. Would be hard to improve on. MKS
